Chanticlear was a long running band from Haverhill MA that formed in the late 90's and had many line-up changes over the years. Original members Joe "Riot: Osborne (vox guitar) and Eric "Pudgy" Rogers (drums) brought in long time friend Ian James in 2009 to play bass. The group played all over New England in legendary punk dumps like Church in Boston, Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain, Jaques in Boston, Middle East in Cambridge MA, Opus in Salem MA, Blackstone in Pawtucket RI and some old firehouse in Providence RI. They once visited Electric Cave studios in Portsmouth NH to record Old Glories and War Stories, with Jim Theirney behind the board and a little help from Joe Queer of the Queers. The album dropped in 2015 on Blue FX Records, and upon its release Ian left the band, no longer willing to play live shows. The band prodded on for another year with a new bass player, but was finally dead when founding member and drummer Eric left. Joe went onto form the incredible Hard Core band Brix'n Mortar out of Salem MA, and they continue to crush it on the Boston music scene.
