No-Shadow Kick

Originally a funky power trio from the Bradford section of Haverhill MA named HAPPY who mixed the sounds of Modest Mouse, Soul Coughing and The Meters, the boys moved to the western part of the state and changed their name to The No-Shadow Kick in the mid 90s. They would venture back east from time to time playing legendary shows at the UFI Coffee Lounge, The Sad Cafe, the world famous Players fight club of Salem NH and who could forget the time they opened for Bob Marley's old group the Wailers at Salisbury Beach? The first band signed to Blue FX Records in 1999 the excitement was exciting, and that's about it. The album Basement Makeout Party came out to mediocre reviews, prompting the label to punch themselves in the collective face. The music is still loved and revered but the experience taught the label a valuable lesson, regret nothing and sign those bands you love. We still Love this album.
